I'm trying to track down the "Your request timed out. Please retry the request." error that I've been getting the last couple of days. I've applied a possible fix, please let me know if you continue to receive that error.

If you do get it, at least in Chrome I can just hit back and then Submit again without loosing any work.

This may only be a Chrome issue and not a site problem.

I have received this error on the iPhone if it is a long time between starting a post and submitting it.

EDIT: Got the error on this post and only took a minute to post.

I only have this issue when trying to post using my phone (android).

Thanks for the reports, keep them coming if you get this error again.

Bah, I was hoping this was related to Chrome only. I guess it will be worth testing out some other browsers before I call customer support. It does seem to only be when preparing a post takes longer than a minute.

This is my second test with FireFox 3.6 (work computer, I have the latest version installed at home).

Edit: This post sat for 10+ minutes and worked without a problem.

I use the current version of firefox at home and have not had a problem posting even after posts have gone unsubmitted for long periods of time.

EDIT: I just got timed out trying to submit this message.

I wonder if it is browsers with something similar to "AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko)" in their name (pulling this from the who is online).

Stryx's Android: AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko)
My iPhone: AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko)
Chrome: AppleWebKit/535.19 (KHTML, like Gecko)

Firefox 3.6: Gecko/20111103

Not that I know what that means, but I'll be looking it up this afternoon.
